Nokia Android Phone might be a reality, who knows!
A week ago there was a rumour that Nokia has tested Android on its Lumia devices before Finnish company was acquired by Microsoft. But now the news is that the Finns are still working on the Project “Mountain View” or “Plan B”. A Chinese website Ctechcn with a good track record in smartphones leaks has come up with some info regarding the fact that Finnish company is still thinking on Nokia Android Phone this year.
Nokia Android device might be an affordable smartphone
The Nokia Android Phone will be based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 8225Q chipset is being developed and tested by the Nokia R&D team based in Beijing. We believe that by using Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chip Nokia might be thinking of launching an affordable android device.
The rumours also suggest that Faxconn has already manufactured and delivered 10000 Prototype Mountain View units and the numbers are still growing as Foxconn hasn’t stopped manufacturing the units.
The Finnish company’s Android Phone Project will not be stopped until if the Finns’ shareholders finalize the acquisition deal with the Microsoft at the general meeting this November. We also know that the things between Nokia and Microsoft aren’t much good, which might be the reason behind all this.
The Finns might say something on its android phone by the end of November. But who knows what happens next? We might have to wait for some time to get the precise information from the company on the this matters. However, if Finns are serious about developing an Android smartphone it will make the Finn Company one of the strongest competitors of the smartphone industry. As we all know that Finns has built a strong hold in the Windows Phone 8 category with its different variety of WP smartphones. And the Finnish Company was once the king of the smart devices ranging from good old days Nokia 6600 to its Xpress Music Edition of Symbian smart devices.
